The Certified Transportation Safety Coordinator (CTSC) is an entry-level designation for safety and compliance coordinators that have met the minimum standards of experience and knowledge. This individual is capable of assisting in developing and managing a carrier’s road transportation safety and compliance programs in part or in whole. This individual will often be responsible for providing guidance in the field of safety and compliance as it related to the carrier’s daily administrative operations.

The Certified Transportation Safety Professional (CTSP) is an individual capable of developing and managing a carrier’s road transportation safety and compliance programs in part or in whole. This individual will often supervise the day to day functions of others in the organization. Also, this individual is often responsible for providing guidance and acting as a subject matter expert in the field of safety and compliance.

Collision Investigation
Collision Investigation provides participants with a systematic process for responding to collisions, gathering evidence, determining the sequence of events, analyzing root cause(s), and developing recommendations for improvement arising from the investigation.

COR Auditor
The AMTA’s COR Auditor course, approved by the Government of Alberta, enables learners to formally certify or re-certify as internal or external COR Auditors. The primary course components are as follows; The COR program and certification/recertification cycles, COR audit data gathering practices, COR audit steps, and Introduction to the AuditSoft COR audit tool.

Fundamentals of Auditing
Fundamentals of auditing is a foundational course that provides an introductory overview of the auditing process. It guides the learners’ understanding of what auditing is, the benefit of it, and highlights the knowledge and skills required to satisfy both the safety and compliance components of an audit.

Fundamentals of Investigation
Fundamentals of Investigation (FOI) delivers a basic introduction to the steps and processes undertaken as part of an incident investigation. The sequencing of the course content mirrors the order of steps that occur within in a systematic, investigative process.

Health & Safety System Building
Health and Safety System Building (HSSB) teaches participants a systematic, step-by-step process for developing the necessary elements of a workplace health and safety management system. Participants will be provided with templates, resources, and opportunities to apply the knowledge presented in this course.

Instructional Design and Delivery introduces participants to a variety of tools and techniques that aide in developing meaningful training and add value to the classroom experience. In this course, learners will be introduced to several key aspects of both leadership theory and strategy, which can be used to help develop a culture of safety within an organization. Managing Injuries in the Workplace
Managing Injuries in the Workplace (MIW) offers participants the resources and information required to create strategies that improve safety performance and reduce the cost of WCB claims and premiums to their organization.

National Safety Code Program Administration
This course will have significant value to those who are maintaining existing compliance programs and who want to understand “what” you need to do, and “why” you need to do it. Apply the information presented in this course to involve everyone in achieving safety and success in compliance audits.

National Safety Code Program Management
National Safety Code Program Management (NSCP-M) provides participants with the tools to confidently address performance issues within an organization. This course focuses on audit results and implementing organizational improvements, giving its learners hands-on experience in each stage of a continuous quality improvement cycle.

SECOR Certification/Recertification
The Self-Evaluator Certification/Recertification (SECOR) course is mandatory for small companies (10 employees or less) looking to achieve a SECOR certification. The course reviews the benefits of SECOR and the process of evaluating a health and safety management system at a small organization using both OHS and NSC-related legislation.

Long Combination Vehicle (LCV) Instructor / Recertification Course
This is a two-day course during which participants will learn the LCV program. Participants will demonstrate their ability to instruct both in-class, and practical environments with LCV equipment. Successful completion of the LCV Instructor/Recertification course enables participants to become AMTA-certified LCV instructors.

Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC): Instructor Training Course
The Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC): Instructor Training Course, is a six-day course of advanced, driver education designed to certify successful participants as Alberta Transportation licensed PDIC instructors. This course is scheduled on an as-needed basis.

Professional Driver Improvement Course (PDIC); Instructor Non-DEES
The non-DEES PDIC Instructor Training Course is a four-day course of advanced driver education designed to certify successful candidates as AMTA certified, non-DEES PDIC instructors. The course enables successful graduates to teach the AMTA’s non-DEES PDIC program for their employer and provides them with a PDIC certificate.
