Some registry agents have voluntarily closed or are operating with reduced hours during the COVID-19 pandemic. We suggest phoning your local registry agent in advance to ensure it is open, and to confirm whether they provide the service you require remotely.

Medicals – In most cases, drivers requiring a medical will be able to apply without the medical but will be required to provide the completed medical within 90 days. Medically high-risk drivers will still be required to present their medical evaluation at the time of their application or renewal.  Please go online for more information on medical conditions and driving.

Concessions granted under Ministerial Order 23-20 and 24-20 are still in affect. More information for these MOs can be found online: https://www.alberta.ca/assets/documents/covid-trans-commercial-carriers-fact-sheet-vol-3.pdf
