Instructor Spotlight: Tim Reteff, B.A., CRSP

Tim teaches Fundamentals of Investigations for the Alberta Motor Transport Association and has worked in Health & Safety for nearly fifteen years.

He started his career as a Hazmat Tech in the consulting industry, where he oversaw the abatement and remediation of a wide variety of Hazardous Materials from a multitude of sites ranging from residential to commercial to industrial. In 2012, he accepted a position with Alberta Occupational Health & Safety.

During his eight years with AB OHS, he has been involved in fifteen Fatality Investigations and countless reportable incident investigations. Recently Tim has taken on a Management role to further develop himself and others. It is his belief that safety is no accident and that almost every incident is preventable with the correct amount of due diligence and proper planning.

He looks forward to getting to know the students and their backgrounds, as he believes everyone brings something to the table and we can all learn a lot from each other.
