Another successful year for 18 Wheels of Christmas

Between Calgary and Edmonton, this year’s 18 Wheels of Christmas – a fundraising campaign of Rosenau Transport – collected more than 32,000 pounds of food and baby items, and more than $15,000 for their local food banks.

Rosenau highlighted the generous spirit of Albertans given the state of the economy in 2016.

“There was a different vibe to our campaign this year, something we haven’t experienced in the past,” said a release from Rosenau. “We head heart wrenching stories of how neighbours had experienced sudden job losses and if it hadn’t been for the food bank, these families wouldn’t of made it through the month.”

The 18 Wheels of Christmas campaign has been running for the last 14 years.
