Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc and Transport Minister Omar Alghabra announced in a press conference today the Government of Canada’s intent to require vaccination for the federal public service as early as the end of September.

If the company has a Federal Safety Fitness certificate, they are mandated to follow the Federal Hours of Service Regulation if the vehicle or combination of vehicle are not exempted under Section 2 of the regulation (Commercial vehicles weighing or registered for more than 4,500 kilograms and that operate inside and outside of Alberta)

Alberta Government release – April 27, 2021 – PIC [Partners in Compliance] is a voluntary commercial truck safety program that promotes safety excellence for commercial truckers and reduces red tape. Phase four of construction has commenced at Kicking Horse Canyon, located just east of Golden, BC on the Trans-Canada Highway.
The corridor sees more than 10,000 vehicles daily in the summer months, and in a year averages as much as 30 per cent commercial traffic.
