IBC Cargo Theft Webinar

In 2016, cargo losses reported to Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) totaled $42 million, but the true cost of cargo theft in Canada is estimated to be in the billions.

Insurers and consumers ultimately bear the cost of this increasingly sophisticated and lucrative crime. But there are ways insurers can detect and recover valuable stolen cargo shipments. IBC’s Investigative Services team has developed a National reporting tool that has helped multiply cargo theft recoveries for IBC members by over ten times in the last 2 years.

This free 30-minute seminar, hosted by investigative experts at Insurance Bureau of Canada, offers an inside look at the nature of cargo theft in Canada and ways that insurers can stop it in its tracks.  See below for dates and times.

Your hosts:

  • Dan Beacock, Director Auto Theft and Vehicle Services, Ontario & Atlantic Region

  • Dan Service, Director, Investigative Services Western & Pacific Region
