AMTA Special Meeting of Members

The Alberta Motor Transport Association’s (AMTA) Board of Directors has proposed key changes to its bylaws so the Association can continue to lead and govern effectively, operate with modern practices, and comply with provincial laws.

On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 9 a.m., AMTA will hold a Special Meeting of Members so that you – and all other eligible members – can vote on these amended bylaws.

These changes are designed to strengthen and uphold the performance of the Board.

The amended bylaws will help create a safer, stronger, and more resilient industry – one that better meets the needs of both AMTA members and all Albertans.

This Special Meeting is your opportunity to vote on a proposed new governance structure and help secure a strong future for commercial transportation in Alberta.

The meeting will include a brief overview of the key changes and an opportunity to ask questions before you cast your vote.

Your participation in this meeting is critical to the long-term success, impact, and sustainability of the Association.

Please invite at least one more eligible voting member to attend this special meeting with you. Your help to spread the word about this meeting is appreciated.
