AMTA distance learning updates

Greetings from your friendly AMTA Course Development team,

In the second week of March, Course Development has been feverishly working on modifying our classroom-based courses for distance delivery. This includes creating computer-based exams and revising activities that are completed in groups in the face-to-face setting.

Are you new to distance learning? Do you worry about being successful working on a course in isolation? Don’t be! The AMTA’s distance learning courses are facilitated for you and your course-mates by one of our qualified instructors, which means you have the support and expertise you need to be successful in the course without having to leave your workspace.

Please see the following list of courses being delivered through our distance model over the next several weeks. As always, courses may be subject to change and cancellation so always check our online calendar for the most up-to-date information an additional course offerings not shown here.

Health & Safety System Building – April 15

NSCP-Administration – April 20

Fundamentals of Auditing – April 21

COR Auditor – April 23

NSCP-Management – April 28

Legislation, Standards, and Policy – May 4

Leadership in Transportation – May 11

Managing Injuries in the Workplace – May 20

Self-Evaluator/SECOR – May 22

Fundamentals of Investigation – June 1

The AMTA is still accepting and encouraging applications to the CTSP designation program; don’t hesitate to touch base if you have questions about getting started and next steps to achieving this transportation-focused safety credential.

Even though our jobs look a little different right now we’re still focused on serving our members by developing resources and training to support the success of your business and your people.
