Investing in Your Association Doesn’t Cost, It Pays

Today’s AMTA is an invigorated association that offers an ever increasing number of innovative programs and services to help transportation businesses thrive and do so safely.

We are the unified voice of Alberta’s trucking industry. Like our members, we are dynamic and constantly evolving. What remains constant is our commitment to representing and advocating the interests of all our members to both the provincial and federal governments. We also work closely with other provincial and federal organizations.

If you haven’t already done so, step up your Associate Carrier status (WCB General Trucking)  to Carrier Member and take your place at the table where your voice is heard when decisions affecting your industry are made. A Carrier Member designation saves you time and money by bringing you onto the inside track.

The additional fee levied is your gateway to expanded services and entry to serve on boards and committees that steer the course at the local, provincial and national levels.

Take a few moments to check out the full scope of AMTA offerings. New training courses and services are added frequently.

Message from the President

Thank You for Your Membership, We Look Forward to Serving You

It’s no secret that Alberta is experiencing some tough times. For some carriers, particularly those who service the oil and gas industry, the waters are particularly choppy.

It is times like these when we need to stick together and when associations like AMTA demonstrate their leadership value.

AMTA was formed in 1938 to serve as the unified voice for road transportation fleets in Alberta. The loyalty, commitment and support of our members has forged an association that is strong, effective and well respected. Over the years, through Alberta’s many ups and downs, AMTA has been the glue that has kept the industry united for a single purpose – to build and maintain a vibrant, safe road transportation industry.

We take great pride in our innovative and effective approach to member relationships and injury reduction strategies. We know the industry inside and out because we work in tandem with companies and personnel in the transportation sector. Many of our staff also have extensive industry experience.

– Lorraine Card, President
