May 2023 Driver of the Month: Kim Lamb, Trimac Transportation

Kim Lamb is an Owner-Operator based out of Edmonton, Alberta. Her typical lane is hauling for the gold mine in Mayo, Yukon. She has been driving for 31 years, and for Trimac for the past six years.

What made you decide to work in the transportation field?

The B.J. and the Bear show from the ‘70s! It showed the life of it. Truthfully, I got it in for the long fight. For the longest time, men didn’t think women belonged anywhere near a truck but in the bunk or the passenger seat. I still enjoy it and I still enjoy trucking.

Is there a woman who has inspired you?
My mom, who went and drove trucks, too.

What has been the most rewarding part of your career at Trimac?

I’ve got no complaints! I like that I’m not in an office and I have a nice view.
