Eskimo Refrigeration Ltd. acquired by Hiway Refrigeration Ltd.
Hiway Refrigeration Ltd. of Port Coquitlam British Columbia, announced April 13 it had reached an agreement to acquire Eskimo Refrigeration Ltd. – an AMTA member since 1971 – headquartered in Calgary, Alberta.
In a release, Hiway Refrigeration said the combined organization will create a seamless customer support network for the products it represents unmatched in the industry.
Eskimo was founded in 1964 by Larry and Arthena Fleming and still remains in the Fleming family with Robbie Fleming as the current President.
“By combining the Eskimo and Hiway teams, it allows us to grow a strong, consistent customer-focused business that continues the Eskimo/Hiway legacies,” said Robbie Fleming.
“We are proud and thrilled to be able to merge these respected companies and cultures,” said Hiway majority-owner Guff Muench.
Since 1968, Hiway Refrigeration Ltd. has provided sales and after-market parts and service support of temperature-managed equipment in the transportation industry, as well as for an array of industrial and specialty equipment applications.
