AMTA’s Education and Quality Assurance (COR) departments are thankful for the thoughtful feedback we receive from members, students, instructors, and auditors. In 2026, AMTA is pleased to introduce changes that better support our existing, valued, internal COR auditors with the maintenance of their auditor certifications by increasing the delivery of this training and expanding its reach to remote communities.
Effective January 1, 2026, here is a detailed look at the changes being made. AMTA will:
- Introduce online, instructor-led delivery of Internal COR Auditor Recertification training in Q1 and Q4, and continue with in-person, instructor-led offerings in both Edmonton and Calgary in Q2 and Q3
- March 26, 2026; online, instructor-led delivery
- June 25, 2026; in-person, instructor-led delivery – Edmonton and Rocky View
- September 24, 2026, in-person, instructor-led delivery – Edmonton and Rocky View
- December 10, 2026; online, instructor-led delivery
**If your organization is an AMTA member, please ensure you contact your organization’s training administrator to inquire about course discounts that may be available to you**
- Commit to the quarterly training dates listed above by guaranteeing no course cancellations (additional offerings of this course will not be added in 2026)
- Enhance proactive communication: while responsibility for certification expiration remains with the auditor, AMTA is working to increase direct communication with auditors to better support their certification maintenance
