Bison earns eighth straight Fleet Safety Award
AMTA Carrier Bison Transport earned their eighth straight grand prize winner honour at the Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) annual Fleet Safety Awards in Kissimmee, Fla. March 27.
The TCA is a member-driver organization creating “success for the truckload industry and the communities it serves” since 1938.
Bison Director, Safety and Driver Development, Garth Pitzel attended the awards presentation.
“It was another fabulous convention for Bison Transport. Rob Penner ended his successful year as Chairman of the TCA with a reminder of his message during the year that people need to get involved and we need one voice to make improvements to this industry. Very much the same as our message of ‘One Bison'”, he said in a statement.
“Our culture of safety is really a culture of caring which puts the well being of our people at the forefront of each business decision. We are very fortune that all of our people believe and support this through their daily decisions and actions on each task or mile they perform,” he added.
At the TCA presentation, Bison also earned first place in the Over 100 Million Mile Category for the 12th year running.
