Alberta road ban update

Alberta Transportation: Road Ban Order 21 – Road – 03 comes into effect at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 18, 2021.

Call 1-855-ROADBAN (1-855-762-3226) for toll-free road ban information for provincial highways.

Alberta Transportation says current information on road bans on local roads in Counties and Municipal Districts should be obtained through their individual offices.

Seasonal Weights for Heavy Haul and Service Rigs:
Effective 12:01 am, Thursday, March 18, 2021, the Province says spring season weights for heavy haul and Period 1 weights for service rigs will come into effect on roads south of and including Township 97.
Winter season weights for heavy haul and Period 4 weights for service rigs remain in effect on roads north of the thaw line.
