Alberta Draw Down Dinners Announced

The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) Draw Down Dinners have been announced for March 16 in Calgary and April 12 in Edmonton.

The dinners will include food, entertainment and a computerized draw for a variety of sponsored prizes. Entertainment this year includes comedians Dave Nystrom and Mike Dambra, and emcees Rick Stadler and Danny Hooper.

Performing at the Calgary dinner, Dave Nystrom is a Canadian comedian and writer who has appeared on CTV’s Comedy Now! and won a Canadian Comedy Award and Writers Guild of Canada Award for his work on the CBC political comedy series This Hour Has 22 Minutes.

Performing in Edmonton, Mike Dambra has been involved in the comedy scene since 1986. Dambra has toured with Rosie O’Donnell, Adam Sandler and Joan Jett, to name a few, and he claimed the title of “Funniest Person in Rochester” in 1987 and 1997.

Both shows start at 4:30 pm with dinner taking place at 6:00 pm and draws at 9:00 pm.
