The Alberta Motor Transport Association celebrated it’s 70th annual Professional Truck Driving Championship in style June 23 – on the newly paved five-acre training area of the association’s new facility at Edmonton International Airport.

While the training area is completed, the building is set for a grand opening in the fall.

The Championship was held in conjunction with the 25th annual Commercial Vehicle Enforcement (CVE)Inspectors Championship. This combined event is one of several highlighting the strength of the partnership between the AMTA and CVE.

Alberta Grand Champion Acting Sergeant Trevor Snoddon will represent Alberta in North American Inspectors Challenge (NAIC) in Ohio this August. Should Snoddon be unable to attend, runner up Sarah Brunschwiler will attend in his place.
