The Alberta Motor Transport Association is a not-for-profit, advocacy and safety training association functioning as The Voice, The Standard and The Resource for commercial transportation in Alberta. For more than 80 years, our work has encompassed a broad range of environmental, social, economic, safety and compliance matters that impact provincial highways. Research and innovation is now at the forefront of our projects, enabling AMTA to bring key stakeholders together to lead research and develop new technologies that will significantly enhance the industry while reducing human and environmental impacts 
The AMTA seeks a vendor-partner to provide a Learning Management System tool and support for the accompanying planning, testing, implementation, and maintenance phases. The Association offers its members, industry partners, and the public a variety of instructional courses and programs through face-to-face (F2F), online (synchronous and asynchronous), and blended delivery models. In addition to in-house developed courses, the AMTA also hosts a catalogue of third-party training solutions which provide additional learning opportunities to its members and the industry while generating additional, modest income for the association. 
The vendor will: 

-Provide AMTA with a LMS solution that meets the needs as outlined in Schedule 1 (AMTA LMS Requirements) of this document. 

-Provide AMTA with a LMS solution that accommodates and enables projected future growth in course catalogue offerings and student numbers. 

-Provide AMTA with training and documentation to support LMS implementation and ongoing usage of the solution. 

The vendor will: 

 –Assist AMTA in the development of an LMS implementation project plan including stages, timelines, resource requirements, training, testing, and evaluation. 

-Provide AMTA with a test environment within the LMS for training, testing, and troubleshooting leading up to the system going live. 

-Assist AMTA in planning for and migrating existing data into the new LMS solution. 

-Work with AMTA staff and technical support to ensure integration between the new LMS solution and existing third-party applications, including testing to ensure integrations are working correctly. 

-Enter into an agreement to provide support to LMS users following testing and implementation of the LMS solution.

-Please provide a detailed description of your project management processes that will ensure our needs are being met in the lead-up, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance phases. Please describe how you will communicate with us and how you propose to meet our technical support requirements. 

Compensation Proposal 

-Please provide a cost to implement your LMS solution as well as the cost of supporting and/or maintaining the LMS in the future. Please explain any costs associated with obtaining, installing, and providing training and documentation to support LMS updates forthcoming from your organization or as a response to any request for change made by AMTA. 

-Please outline a payment schedule for the LMS solution and ongoing support as well as any other associated terms and conditions. 


-Please outline your timeline to implement the LMS solution for AMTA.

Sept. 16, 2021: Our current LMS has 4000 active users (previous 12 months), and we expect to grow this to 5000 within the next couple of years. There are currently 16,000 total student records.
