Course Description

The Health and Safety Program Building course (formerly called the Transportation Safety Basics [TSB] course) is the first step to achieving your Certificate of Recognition (COR) through the WCB’s Partners in Injury Reduction (PIR) program. This comprehensive and challenging course is designed to guide and assist safety personnel in the development and implementation of a Health and Safety management program.

Who Should Do This Course

Small Employers (1-10 employees) – Safety personnel
Large Employers (11 or more employees) – Business owner or employee responsible for administering the company’s Health & Safety program

There are no pre-requisites for this course.

Additional Training Requirements

Large Employer – Internal Auditor Training
Small Employer – Self Evaluator Re-Certification

Once successfully completed, there are no re-certification requirements for the Health and Safety Program Building course.
