DTI Hops & Hydrogen event
AMTA+ Members, Diesel Tech Industries (DTI), is co-hosting a Hops & Hydrogen Networking event on July 6th with Edmonton Region Hydrogen HUB, and you’re invited!
The event will feature an introduction to the Edmonton Region Hydrogen HUB, a moderated panel discussion on DTI’s project partnership with Diversified Transportation, and networking opportunities with professionals across the region’s hydrogen value chain.
What is the Industry Task Force (ITF) Association?
The Industry Task Force (ITF) Association is a collaborative organization established under the Societies Act in 1999, working towards positive changes in workers’ compensation matters in Alberta. The ITF represents the viewpoints of Alberta employers who are members of the association. The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) has been an active member of the ITF for several years and recently attended the June 14 quarterly meeting.

2023 Professional Truck Driving Championship
The AMTA 2023 Professional Truck Driving Championship took place Saturday, June 10 on the sunny, albeit breezy, training area at the AMTA Edmonton location.
This event would not be possible without the dedication and professionalism of our driver registrants and we wish to send many thanks to the volunteers and spectators who made the day an overall success.

Since 1938, AMTA – through collaboration with government, business partners, members, and other stakeholders – has advanced the industry through dynamic safety training and programs, advocacy, research and innovation, progressive policies, and strategic partnerships.
In 2023, AMTA will reach a significant milestone in its history, celebrating 85 years of promoting, preserving, and advancing the safety and well-being of the commercial transportation industry and all Albertans.

Today, Trucking HR Canada (THRC) announces a new project, funded by the Government of Alberta, that will support Alberta employers with recruitment and retention efforts. THRC has partnered with the Alberta Motor Transport Association to deliver project activities.
Student Work Placement Subsidy Overview
AMTA would like to introduce the Student Work Placement (SWP) subsidy to Alberta-based employers. This subsidy is targeted at both traditional trucking companies and those in other industries that have a trucking component to their operations. For example companies in the construction, manufacturing, agriculture and other industries employee commercial trucks.
