CTA has unveiled an exclusive online diesel price mapping tool for trucking industry members to look up and compare current wholesale diesel prices across Canada.

The deadline for completing Trucking HR’s first comprehensive industry compensation benchmarking survey is July 14, 2017.

CTA: Members of the Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) and the rest of the supply chain have experienced delays and other challenges bringing goods into Canada from the US because of recurring Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) system degradation issues.

CTA: Since January 1, 2017, there have been about 30 outages of CBSA’s EDI/portal systems due to an antiquated computer system. Despite CBSA’s best efforts to mitigate these incidents, the system crashes keep happening with no easily-attainable solution in sight. Meanwhile, trucking companies, their drivers, as well as customers are being significantly impacted by these outages.

CTA: The Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) believes whenever a commercial vehicle is required to enter a truck inspection station, is stopped by mobile enforcement where a cursory review of compliance is completed, or is given an electronic inspection (e.g. weigh station by-pass), it should be recognized as having undergone an inspection.
