Celebrating Alberta’s Commercial Transportation Industry

AMTA Membership:

On August 20 we launched to you, our membership a short video, aimed at increasing awareness of AMTA’s commitment to safety, education and training, the essential nature of our industry, and our work to help shape the future of transportation.

We are proud to share this video with membership as you are an essential contributor to Alberta’s economic recovery and to the future of our province, and we hope you can see that reflected in the product. The video, and its message, build on the strategic, proactive, and positive advocacy work the AMTA has done with our many stakeholders, including the Government of Alberta. Even before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic – but especially since – your association has been working to help the government develop public policies proteting Albertans, our provincial and national supply chains, and transportation jobs and businesses.

Our efforts are paying off.

The Government of Alberta and Canada have supported our #ThankATrucker campaign and have ensured our industry operations remain uninterrupted amid the pandemic. The Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) has enjoyed similar success and has also launched a #ThankATrucker awareness campaign.

The AMTA is immensely proud of the efforts of our staff and membership in helping Albertans through the pandemic and towards our province’s economic recovery. Now is the time to share that pride, and our messages, so more people can learn and appreciate the contributions membership makes each day for the lives of Albertans.

Please feel free to share the video on your social media feeds, with comments, so we can share in our pride not only for Alberta but for our professional drivers and industry. The CTA Twitter feed will share similar content through the summer that we also encourage you to share.

Thank you for your ongoing support and service to Albertans, our Association, and our industry.
