Leadership History with AMTA
Laura brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across the transportation, energy, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. Throughout her career, she has led large teams, guided strategic growth, and built strong relationships with industry partners, governments, Indigenous communities, and stakeholders.
As a current AMTA Board Director and HR Governance Committee Chair, Laura helps provide governance oversight and strategic direction that supports the Association’s long-term success. Her background in business leadership, sustainability, and organizational development allows her to contribute valuable insight to board discussions and decision-making.
Professional & Volunteer Experience
Laura currently serves as Vice President of Standard General Calgary. Prior to this role, she served as President of CanGas Propane, where she led operations across Western Canada and worked closely with leadership teams to strengthen safety performance, support business growth, and expand partnerships with Indigenous communities.
Earlier in her career, Laura held executive leadership positions with Linde Canada and Pembina Pipeline Corporation. During this time, she led major business operations, advanced sustainability initiatives, supported infrastructure development, and guided stakeholder engagement strategies. Her experience spans clean fuels, business operations, environmental leadership, and strategic planning.
Outside of her professional career, Laura has served on several advisory and not-for-profit boards
