CVSA will hold an Industry Roadside Inspection Course – Part A Driver Requirements at the Alberta Motor Transport Association in Rocky View, Alberta from January 10 – 15, 2022. The focus of the training will be on all regulatory driver related roadside requirements and out-of-service conditions.
This course includes information on regulatory definitions, intrastate vs. interstate operations, CDL and driver qualification requirements, hazardous materials overview, hours of service rules, annual and trip inspections on CMV’s, Human Trafficking and the DataQ filing process.
This course is intended to provide industry with the necessary training to better understand the roadside regulatory requirements. The goal of the training is to provide each carrier with the tools and knowledge to achieve compliance with the roadside safety regulations and a better understand of the relationship between regulatory requirements and out-of-service conditions.
The deadline for registration is December 10, 2021.
Note: CVSA will host Part B Vehicle Inspections in March of 2022, it is recommended that both Part A (Driver) and Part B (vehicle- separate cost) be completed for the best understanding of the CVSA process,
The target audience is:
-Class III Associate Members
-Motor carrier safety directors, owner-operators, commercial motor vehicle drivers, technicians, fleet managers, vendors, etc.
-Class size is limited to 35 students.
-Monday (January 10) through Thursday (January 14), the course schedule is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
-On the last day, Friday, January 15, the schedule is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Travel prior to that time on Friday will interfere with the completion of the course.
