December 1, 2021
Every year, the Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) celebrates the achievements of commercial transportation industry professionals who go above and beyond in their field.
2021 saw a continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic, Alberta’s economic recovery, fires and floods, and more, but industry kept goods on the move throughout and this is a chance to shine a spotlight on individuals involved.
Do you know an individual outstanding in the field of safety or the associate trades? Or perhaps someone who has dedicated their life to commercial transportation and now serves as a mentor or story-teller of days gone by? Nominate a friend, co-worker or employee for the following:
Safety Person of the Year
For the Alberta Motor Transport Association, safety in industry is paramount. Safety Person of the Year exemplifies an individual not only accountable to the safety of their fellow employees but the safety of the company they represent.
Associate Trades Award
The Associate Trades Award is presented to an individual who regularly goes above and beyond in serving AMTA membership and the public in the commercial transportation field.
We cannot move into the future without learning from the past and the Historical Award exists to celebrate individuals who have dedicated their life to industry and preserving its memories. This individual may be retired but continues to share their valuable input in helping industry grow into the future.
Award winners will be announced and celebrated at the 2022 Awards Banquet, held at the association’s annual Leadership Conference and AGM in Banff April 22-23. Joining Safety Person of the Year, Associate Trades and Historical Award winners are awards for Service to Industry and Driver of the Year.
The deadline for award nominations is 12 pm MST, Tuesday, February 15.
The remaining sponsorship opportunity for awards is Historical Award, for more information reach out to email@example.com
