Baron started in trucking as a young man, delivering soft drinks to provide for himself and support his mother after his father passed away. But what kept him in the driver’s seat was the variety. Every day brings different challenges, from the equipment to the weather to the business itself. Mid-career he moved into an office role-supplying garden centers. He developed himself professionally, including as a dangerous goods instructor, but he always made sure to get some time behind the wheel. Baron retired at 40, but it wasn’t too long before the urge to keep busy got him back on the road, and he’s been there ever since.
Outside of driving, Baron has pursued a wide variety of hobbies to challenge himself in his spare time. For many years he was big into martial arts and taught at his own school. After that, he bred a rare breed of tropical fish, and most recently he has taken up long distance marksmanship, shooting at targets starting at 1000 yards away. Baron is married with two children, his daughter a parts technician and his son a doctor.
